Rhizotomy

Thermal coagulation of a nerve to make the nerve nonfunctional. More Info.

Facet Joint Rhizotomy

- use of high frequency electrical current to produce heat next to the facet joint nerve of the spine to coagulate the nerve so that it would become nonfunctional and non-conducting thus making the facet joint no painful. More Info.

Lumbar Facet Joint Nerve Blocks

Injection of the nerves intervening the lumbar facet joints to make them insensitive to pain. More Info.

Spinal Endoscopy

Placement of a small spinal scope into the spine to view the epidural structures and break scar and adhesions in this space. More Info.

Percutaneous Spinal Nerve Root Release

 – electrical stimulation of the nerves which are outside of the spinal cord to reduce pain produced from previous scarring or damage. More Info.

Spinal Stimulation

Use of electrical stimulation of the spinal cord and its nerve roots via insulated probes and determining specific nerves or structures causing the pain.      More Info.

Spinal Column Stimulation

electrical stimulation of the spinal cord is done by placement of leads into the epidural space to reduce pain of spinal origin from previous injury to the spinal cord or its nerves from previous trauma, scarring, or previous surgeries of the spine.     More Info.

Intrathecal Infusion Pumps

 – use other pump which can be programmable to infuse narcotics and pain relieving medications directly into the fluid surrounding the spinal cord or the epidural space. More Info.

Peripheral Nerve Stimulation

– electrical stimulation of the nerves which are outside of the spinal cord to reduce pain produced from previous scarring or damage. More Info.

New Techniques Only at ACPSC

– new techniques that are developed by our physicians which are employed only at the Acute and Chronic Pain and Spine Center which are taught to all other spine specialists in treating  their patients.  Generally  techniques developed by all physicians are generally reported in major medical journals for the teaching of all physicians involved in care of patients. Manipulation Under Anesthesia

– physical manipulation of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions of the spine and limbs are carried out under regional, deep intravenous sedation or general anesthesia to break up adhesions and increased range of motion of the area of the spine involved. More Info.

Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation  

– structured and program range of motion exercises, strength, work hardening and post-operative rehabilitation programs that are used to increase range of motion, and strength training of the musculoskeletal system including the spine to improve function and mobility. More Info.

Nutrition Counseling

– our professional recommendation in sound nutrition and concepts for weight loss, improvement of prostaglandin metabolism, and general improvement of systemic diseases by use of better combination of foods and supplements. More Info.
